Cold and unsettled weather is set to continue, with snow showers affecting parts of the west today. According to the Icelandic Met Office, the country will be exposed to south-westerly or variable winds of between 3 and 10 metres per second. What's This Story? Overnight frost is forecast to range from 0 to -10C, with temperatures in the south likely to remain close to freezing during the afternoon. On Sunday, winds are due to shift northerly, reaching 8 to 15 metres per second along the south and east coasts. Lighter winds are expected inland and in other regions. Intermittent snowfall is predicted in eastern areas, with occasional showers in the north. Southern parts are expected to stay largely dry. Temperatures are set to remain similar to today, maintaining the wintry feel. Drivers are being advised to take care where frost and snow showers may lead to icy patches, particularly in exposed and coastal areas.
