Iceland experienced a bitterly cold night, with temperatures dropping to double-digit frost levels across much of the country. Both the north and south of the heathland saw widespread frost, with areas experiencing sub-zero conditions. While there will be slight showers in the east, the majority of the country can expect a dry day. The temperatures are expected to remain low, and further frosty conditions are predicted. Tomorrow, the wind direction will change again, shifting to the north and northeast. Wind speeds are forecasted to remain between 5 and 13 metres per second. Frost levels will continue to vary, with temperatures as low as 2°C expected in some areas. The coldest conditions will be felt in the northern interior of the country. According to the Icelandic Meteorological Office stated, frost is expected to persist across much of Iceland, with colder conditions in the north. Winds will bring a notable chill, particularly for southern areas.
