Emergency services were called out in South Iceland after a minibus skidded off the road near Núpsstaður in Skaftárhrepp during severe weather. As reported by RÚV, police confirmed that seven people were on board the vehicle. There is currently a yellow warning for South Iceland, issued by the Icelandic Meteorological Office. The stretch between Vík and Kirkjubæjarklaustur has reopened, while the road from Kirkjubæjarklaustur to Núpsvötn remains closed.
