Postage costs in Iceland are set to rise again, with new fees due to take effect at the start of next month, according to the state-owned operator Iceland Post. The updated price list includes higher customs-related charges, increased rates for bulky letters, and higher costs for sending letters and small parcels abroad. What's the Story? New pricing announced by Iceland Post effective next month Higher fees for customs processing, bulky letters, and additional domestic parcel services Small parcels sent to Europe outside the Nordics to more than double in price Domestic letter postage rose by over 14% at the turn of the month Discount agreements for high-volume users removed in December A Póstbox parcel locker in Kringlan shopping centre, Reykjavík. The steepest increases apply to small packages sent outside the Nordic region, where prices for deliveries to other parts of Europe will more than double. These changes follow an earlier adjustment introduced at the turn of the month, when the cost of sending domestic letters rose by more than 14%. In December, the company also removed all discounted pricing agreements previously available to high-volume customers, introducing a single tariff structure for all users.
