A warning for South Iceland comes into force at noon, with easterly winds of 15–23 m/s and gusts reaching up to 35–40 m/s beneath the Eyjafjöll mountains. Snowfall and drifting snow are forecast, with sleet or rain in some locations. This alert is due to expire at 17:00. From 13:00, a further warning applies to Southeast Iceland, including Mýrdalur and Öræfi, where similar wind speeds and precipitation are expected. That warning remains in place until 20:00. A third alert takes effect in the Eastfjords at 15:00, with north-easterly winds of 13–20 m/s and snowfall forecast, particularly on mountain roads.
